Dental
There are all types of dental plans for individuals and families; HMOs, PPOs, Panel Plans, Indemnity plans and Memberships. Which one is best for you?
The key with most dental plans is …the dentist. Because dental plans require you to see "participating or network dentists" in order to obtain the highest level of coverage, a dental plan is only a good value if you do. If you want to stay with your current dentist then ask their office if they participate in any individual dental plans. If they do, then start by researching those plans. If they don't consider a change in dentists or self insure. Dentists will often give you a discount if you pay cash.
We are pleased to feature two new plans that we believe are worth consideration. They are two very different options but both are available to anyone (seniors included).
Dental for EveryoneDelta Dental, the premier dental plan in the state with the largest provider network (over 95% of dentists participate) is now offering an individual plan. Delta Dental, known for their popular group dental plans, now offers an individual plan called Dental for Everyone. It is structured very similar to traditional PPO dental plans, but with Delta Dental, you also get their discounted rates on services and their claim-free processing – the most efficient in the industry. The plan is offered through Benefit Association which provides discounts on prescriptions, vitamins and other goods and services. Plan Highlights

New Dental ChoiceThis is actually not insurance, but a membership program that provides deep discounts on most dental procedures with no waiting periods, no benefit limits, no deductibles and no claim forms. Unlike insurance when you often don't know what you owe for services ahead of time, New Dental Choice provides you a list of procedures showing the amount you pay. You must see participating dentists to obtain the plan benefits. However, the lists appears to be as big or bigger than most dental insurance plans. And, the plan administrators are committed to growing the network.
